Willie Stargell was a beloved Pittsburgh Pirate, feared power hitter, and a leader on and off the field during his 21 seasons. Stargell's career boasted 1,540 RBIs and 475 home runs.

Stargell owned a chicken restaurant in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Whenever Willie homered, Stargell's restaurant would give away free chicken to all customers in the restaurant by yelling "Chicken on the Hill with Will!".

This has become my favorite shirt. I was familiar with the story behind and I have always had great respect for Willy Stargell. Everyone should have this shirt!

Chicken on the hill

The shirt itself is soft and comfortable. Wanted so much, I was ready to take a white tee. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a bright white. A great way to honor one of the greatest Buccos.

I remember the radio broadcasts talking about "Chicken on the Hill with Will".
